Lighting Asylum Project: Weeks 1-5
So far, the biggest challenge of this "Challenge" is finding the time. I've gotten off to a very slow start. The week 1 Theme is reflections. I was sick the first week. I mean yucky, nasty sick. I did manage to catch a reflection of myself in the eye a selfie I took with my iPad. Does that count? I promise to revisit week 1 at a later date.
The theme for week 2 is mobile devices. My coworker let my take a photo of him while we were out on location at the Stockton Marina and... He hated it!! He begged me to take it off Flickr and never let it see the light of day. I'm still nursing my wounded ego behind that one.
The Week 3 Fill a Frame theme fared a little better. My co-worker Elise agreed to pose for a closeup.
I attempted to get a little creative with the Yellow Week 4 theme. I played around with color separation in post. I am grateful for patience and persistence my coworker Alejandra showed while posing in one of our best-sellers. What am I going to do when I run out of co-workers?
Hit up my schoolmates that's what! Kimberly graciously accepted my request to pose for the Week#5 water theme. I tried to get a little fancy with the lighting here. These photos are the result of a 3 light set-up using the Westcott Ice Light.
There are plenty more weeks left. The Week#6 Theme is the 70's. If you'd like a FREE portrait session for this project, Contact Me! It will be lots of fun and you get a free keepsake digital download of the portrait I use.
